Bohemia Hybrid Film Editorial
Sometimes you have to pinch yourself with your editorial dreams become a reality. This is EXACTLY what happened with this shoot. I wanted to whip my Contax out of its coveted spot in my office, throw some Portra film in it…and take some portraits. So…I did. And – it was 100% worth it.
To help with styling, I contacted my talented friend, Audrey Quint, to help design a wall of florals, sitting area, and drool-worthy tablescape. Kelly Jo from A Floral Affair created a beautiful bouquet of seasonal flowers that added a lovely pop of color. Swoon (my FAVORITE wedding gown boutique in Reno) provided a stunning Made With Love gown that was romantic, feminine, and undeniably luxe. Corey from The Decorated Bride gave Shaveh, our model, a natural look with red lips really popped. Lindsay Lu created a modern bohemian look with Shaveh’s hair, which complimented the feel of the gown. The studio was flooded with light with 70’s rock was blasting → creating the perfect mood for our day.
The vibe of the shoot was relaxed and fun. Shaveh rocked the gown and looked gorgeous doing it.
I think every artist needs to do something that gets those creative juices flowing…and this shoot did just that. I was able to revisit my film roots while creating a series of images that brought me so much joy. It was an incredible day with one of the most creative groups of boss babes in the business
